Lake Oswego Reads 2026

April of 2026 marks the 20th annual Lake Oswego Reads. During the month of April, the community is invited to be part of a city-wide book club. Everyone is encourage to read Tilt by Emma Pattee.

The story is about the affects of a major earthquake in the Pacific Northwest with the lead character, who is 9 months pregnant, having to navigate her way home from across the damaged city of Portland. She encounters desperation, the generosity of strangers, and unexpected friendship.

A wide variety of activities are offered around town throughout the month. An art show is offered, along with emergency preparedness demonstrations, a day of STEM activities for children and more. For a full list of activities, click here.

I have participated in Lake Oswego reads many times. I’ve come to trust the book selection as the books have been quite good over the years. If you enjoy reading, this is a great opportunity to enjoy a good book and meet other readers in the community. Enjoy, Dianne
